This body of work has been produced from Street Posters sourced from the illegal advertising sites in major Australian cities during 2007-2009.

The Artistic process of recycling and morphing the images from a worn advertising poster into a new composition of aesthetic value is a blend of Collage and deCollage

This genre was made popular by the Italian and French New Realism movement in Paris in the late 40s

Making this work is a labour intensive exercise, rehabilitating the roll of  the poster  into the Typographical, Abstract , Textural and Colour compositions by manipulating the surface and tearing back the layers to reveal the beauty hidden  below.

Giving the existing artwork a new lease of life.

While the completed image appears random, it is in fact highly considered often a small image is revealed from a large 24 sheet site of 12 square meters.

The theme of this exhibition has subtle sexual undertones and a strong sense of Urban familiarity.
